Quidax Expands Stablecoin Infrastructure to 21 Countries
Quidax, Nigeria's first SEC-licensed digital assets exchange, has expanded its stablecoin infrastructure to over 21 countries, addressing the $5 billion annual loss Africa faces due to cross-border payment fees. Traditional payment methods can take up to 7 days and incur costs of up to 13% of the transaction value. Quidax's compliant infrastructure settles cross-border payments in under 48 hours without correspondent banks, achieving costs below the global average and aligning with G20 and UN Sustainable Development Goal targets of 5%. The infrastructure supports key African markets including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa, and extends to Canada, China, the UAE, the UK, the USA, and several European countries. It accommodates USDT, XAUT, USAT, and 14 local and international currencies. Quidax powers over 5,000 startups and enterprises across various sectors and partners with Tether and Chainalysis.
