Risky Week for the Crypto Market; Iran-U.S. Ceasefire, Federal Reserve Meeting, and Inflation Report

By: rootdata|2026/07/27 07:50:37

The cryptocurrency market has entered a risky and decisive week. Developments in Iran and the U.S., the Federal Reserve meeting, the fate of the Crypto Transparency Act (CLARITY), and the release of U.S. inflation data could determine the next direction for Bitcoin and altcoins. The temporary halt in hostilities between Iran and the U.S. and ongoing diplomatic efforts have alleviated some investor concerns. Following signs of de-escalation, oil prices fell by about 7%, and stock markets reacted positively. Continued trends could enhance investor risk appetite and reduce selling pressure in the crypto market. The Federal Reserve meeting on July 28 and 29 is the most significant economic event of the week. The U.S. interest rate currently stands between 3.50% and 3.75%, and it is expected to remain unchanged. The positions of Jerome Powell, the Federal Reserve Chair, could impact the dollar and Bitcoin price trends. On Thursday, the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) index will also be released. Higher-than-expected inflation could strengthen bearish sentiments. Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate is reviewing the CLARITY Act, but the likelihood of its final approval before the Senate's summer recess is considered low. Retail investors should avoid emotional decisions and heavy market entries.
