Web3 wallet brand SafePal has reported the latest developments regarding the data breach incident in its order system. SafePal is tracking phishing websites and counterfeit accounts daily and submitting takedown requests. Currently, it is in the final selection process among four professional anti-phishing companies to expedite the takedown process. At the same time, SafePal continues to monitor dark web forums and other channels for signs of affected data being sold or made public, and will immediately issue warnings to affected users upon discovery. In terms of auditing, SafePal is screening three independent security agencies to conduct a comprehensive review of the order system, while the order and logistics processes are also being reviewed to minimize data retention. Affected users can obtain one-on-one assistance through official support channels, and updates on progress, frequently asked questions, and scam cases will continue to be posted on their official scam-protection page. SafePal reminds users that the official team will never ask for recovery phrases, and users should avoid sharing recovery phrases or clicking on unknown QR codes and links.
