SEC Announces Agenda and Attendee List for September 17 '24-Hour Trading' Roundtable

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has released the agenda and list of experts attending the "24-Hour Trading" roundtable scheduled for September 17. The meeting will discuss system readiness and anticipated market impacts. It will take place from 10 AM to 4 PM Eastern Time (22:00 to 04:00 Beijing Time) at the SEC headquarters in Washington, D.C., and will be open to the public with a live webcast. The meeting will feature three thematic discussions focusing on the readiness of exchanges and brokers, overnight monitoring, clearing and settlement operational preparations, system resilience and cybersecurity capabilities, as well as the expected impact of trading expansion on liquidity, capital formation, and subsequent regulatory considerations. Attendees include representatives from institutions such as Robinhood, the New York Stock Exchange, BlackRock, Virtu Financial, the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Jane Street, Nasdaq, DTCC, and Citadel Securities.
