SecondFi has released an update on a security incident, stating that the white hat team involved in its Asset Recovery Fund has deposited part of the recovered assets into the recovery fund address established by EMURGO, allowing for transparent tracking of asset recovery progress. This address is for viewing only, and users are prohibited from transferring funds to it. SecondFi reiterates that it will not request private keys, recovery phrases, or wallet credentials, nor will it proactively contact users via private messages or emails. The company warns that counterfeit SecondFi browser extensions and applications have appeared on the market, and the official extension is only available on the Chrome Web Store with a blue verification badge. Users should only obtain links and information through secondfi.io and the official support channels.
