South Korean Retail Investors Net Buy Over 5 Trillion Won in US Stocks This Month

South Korean domestic investors have net purchased over 5 trillion won in US stocks this month, amounting to approximately 3.58999 billion USD, which is about 5.5 times the net purchase amount for the entire month of June. According to data from the securities information portal Seibro, the net purchase amount significantly increased during the period from the 1st to the 27th, especially with an increase of 1.05973 billion USD in the last two trading days. Retail funds are primarily concentrated in the semiconductor and technology sectors, with the product that saw the highest net purchases being the Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X ETF, which tracks the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, with a net purchase amount reaching 1.75919 billion USD. SK Hynix ADR also attracted attention, with the net purchase amount rising to 812.38 million USD as of the 27th.
