The South Korean Ministry of Finance has announced restrictions on leveraged ETF trading to stabilize the stock market. The ministry will maintain a 24-hour stock market monitoring system and establish a legal basis for implementing market stabilization measures in emergencies. Additionally, the ministry will strengthen regulations on leveraged ETF trading, limit retail investors' investment exposure, introduce extra regulatory measures for single-stock leveraged ETFs, and increase related trading costs to curb ETF speculation.
