Strive CEO predicts end of Bitcoin bear market, optimistic for next 12-18 months
Strive CEO Matt Cole stated that the Bitcoin bear market has concluded and expressed optimism for BTC's price in the next 12 to 18 months. He noted that the BTC/gold chart has been a reliable indicator for Bitcoin's price over the past two years, predicting BTC will peak against gold in December 2024, while its highest value in U.S. dollar terms is expected in October 2025. Cole mentioned that Bitcoin reached its low against gold in February this year and its U.S. dollar low in July, indicating a clear shift into an uptrend against both the dollar and gold, which led him to conclude that the bear market is over. He also highlighted that the U.S. dollar's long-term weakness, currency debasement, and increasing demand for scarce assets due to the rise of AI will serve as structural tailwinds for BTC. Cole believes that stronger BTC returns compared to gold will likely attract more capital into Bitcoin from the scarce-asset market, suggesting that the next Bitcoin cycle could be unprecedented.
