Ukrainian Communities Have Registered Over 99% of Streets in the State Address Register

Over the course of two years of operation of the Unified State Register of Addresses, Ukrainian communities have registered more than 99% of streets (about 330,000) and 74.8% of addresses in populated areas, totaling nearly 7,800,000 objects. This simplifies the provision of social services and protects citizens' property data. Deputy Minister Natalia Kozlovskaya noted that quality address data minimizes errors in data exchange between state systems and improves property rights protection. The first stage of street name verification began on July 24, 2024, with 1,302 communities participating, of which 1,264 completed the verification, including all 30 largest cities. In 23 regions, a 100% rate has been achieved. The second stage involves verifying building numbers and their geospatial referencing. Currently, 437 communities have completed this work. The leaders in verification levels among major cities are Kryvyi Rih - 77.64%, Mykolaiv - 77.25%, Dnipro - 65.56%, Poltava - 64.19%, and Zaporizhzhia - 54.40%. Competence Centers are operating in each region to assist local self-government bodies. The register is being created according to the INSPIRE methodology for compatibility with European geoinformation services.
