US-Iran Standoff Over the Strait of Hormuz Continues
On August 16, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei stated that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of the "illegal actions" of the United States and Israel. Recently, the US and Iran have engaged in fierce confrontations over the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, with neither side willing to back down. Analysts point out that the ongoing standoff between the two sides makes it difficult to bridge their differences, and the situation may fall into a cycle, making it unlikely for the Strait of Hormuz to achieve full navigation in the short term. Analysts believe that the likelihood of either side making significant concessions on this issue in the short term is low. Unless the US decides to launch a new round of large-scale military strikes against Iran, the ongoing stalemate in their strategic game is unlikely to change significantly, and Trump's desire to "defeat Iran" will remain a mere fantasy.
