VerifiedX launches Vault feature for vBTC recovery

By: coinness.com|11/05/2026 14:28:55

VerifiedX unveiled a self-custodial asset recovery Vault feature as part of its mainnet 9.0.0 upgrade. This feature allows Bitcoin holders storing vBTC in the Vault to set a delay before an outgoing transfer becomes final, enabling cancellation of mistaken or unauthorized transfers during that window and recovery of assets to a designated self-custodied address. The safeguard aims to reduce asset loss risks from wallet hacks or user errors by providing users time to reclaim funds before finalization. The upgrade also includes Bitcoin light client verification in VerifiedX validator software, allowing validators to independently verify Bitcoin block headers, proof-of-work, and chain progress.
