The Zimbabwe Securities and Exchange Commission (SECZ) has approved seven fintech companies to participate in a regulatory sandbox testing, covering blockchain platforms, synthetic trading, crowdfunding, and tokenization services. The approved companies include Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard, Questview Brokers, and Crowdaxe Capital. Additionally, Procode Platforms, Financial Securities Exchange, and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe have also been approved, focusing on asset, infrastructure, or securities tokenization. This framework provides participants with a regulated environment to test products, services, and business models, aiming to promote responsible innovation, enhance financial inclusion, and facilitate fair, transparent, and efficient development of capital markets. SECZ will continuously monitor participants during the testing period and may issue further directives or operational requirements.
