Think of your trial fund as virtual trading money from WEEX that behaves like real cash in your futures account. Use it to:

Pay for trading fees, funding fees, and even cover losses

Once activated, it's available across multiple trades until it expires, giving you a financial cushion that lets you trade more boldly.

How to claim your trial fund

You can earn trial funds by completing tasks and events on WEEX.

Important: To claim a trial fund, the system first checks your own available balance. If your futures account does not meet the minimum balance requirement, activation will fail and you'll see a notification.

Minimum balance formula:

Minimum account balance required = (voucher amount ÷ offset rate) – voucher amount

Example:

You have a 10 USDT trial fund voucher with a 50% offset rate.

Calculation: (10 ÷ 0.5) – 10 = 10 USDT
You need at least 10 USDT of your own funds in your futures account to activate this voucher.

How to use your trial fund

Step 1: Activate After claiming, go to "Voucher Center". Your Trial Fund will appear as "Not Activated". Activate it by meeting the minimum balance requirement.
Step 2: Trade Once activated, open a futures position. The system automatically uses your trial fund first to cover margin, fees, and losses where applicable.

Deduction formula:

Offset amount = whichever is lower: current fee × offset ratio or remaining trial fund balance.

What it covers:

Position losses (negative realized PnL)
Trading fees (opening, closing, and liquidation)
Funding fees (when you pay)
A portion of your opening margin

Important rules

Keep profits: Any profit from trades using trial funds is yours to withdraw, but the trial funds themselves cannot be withdrawn.
Partial coverage: If your trial fund runs out, the remaining cost is covered by your own funds.
No moving funds: If you transfer, withdraw, or move any funds out of your futures account before the trial fund is fully used, the remaining unused trial fund will expire immediately.
Use on time: Expired trial funds are reclaimed, and any abusive activity (such as wash trading or manipulative hedging) will void the reward.
Multiple vouchers? For the same position (same asset, same direction), you can apply multiple vouchers. The system uses the voucher with the highest offset rate first; if rates match, it uses the one closest to expiry first.

Real-life example: Using three vouchers together

Your balance: 90 USDT

Your vouchers:

Voucher A: 5 USDT | 100% offset rate | Expires: 06-01-2026 20:00:00
Voucher B: 10 USDT | 50% offset rate | Expires: 05-10-2026 10:00:00
Voucher C: 1 USDT | 20% offset rate | Expires: 05-15-2026 12:00:00

Step 1: Open a position (fee = 4 USDT)

Voucher A covers: Min(4 × 100%, 5) = 4 USDT
Remaining balance: 1 USDT
You pay: 0 USDT

Step 2: Pay a funding fee (fee = 3 USDT)

Voucher A covers: Min(3 × 100%, 1) = 1 USDT → Voucher A is now used up
Voucher B covers: Min((3 – 1)×50%, 10) = 1 USDT → Remaining balance: 9 USDT
You pay: 1 USDT from your own funds

Your balance now: 89 USDT

Step 3: Close position with a loss (loss = 20 USDT, close fee = 5 USDT)

Loss coverage:

Voucher B covers: Min(20 × 50%, 9) = 9 USDT → Voucher B is now used up
Voucher C covers: Min((20 – 18)×20%, 1) = 0.4 USDT → Remaining balance: 0.6 USDT
You pay: 9 + 1.6 = 10.6 USDT

Your balance now: 78.4 USDT

Close-fee coverage:

Voucher C covers: Min(5 × 20%, 0.6) = 0.6 USDT → Voucher C is now used up
You pay: 4.4 USDT

Your final balance: 74 USDT

Breakdown: Your trial funds covered 10 USDT, while you paid 15 USDT from your own funds. Without a trial fund, you would have paid 26 USDT!
