O tokenização A plataforma Theo anunciou que arrecadou 100 milhões de dólares para lançar o ouro-backed stablecoin-248">moeda estável thUSD. O thUSD está atrelado ao dólar americano e suas reservas consistem no token de ouro thGOLD, lançado pela Theo em janeiro deste ano. O thGOLD é respaldado por um acordo de empréstimo garantido entre a Theo e varejistas de ouro (como a Mustafa Gold de Singapura) e também pode gerar retornos.
Em termos de fontes de receita, o thUSD obterá simultaneamente dois tipos de retornos: um do ativo subjacente ativos de thGOLD; o outro dos lucros obtidos com a venda a descoberto de contratos de futuros de ouro. O Diretor de Investimentos da Theo, Iggy Ioppe, afirmou que, sob condições favoráveis do mercado, espera-se que esse mecanismo alcance um retorno anualizado de cerca de 10%.
