Layer-one blockchain 0G has extended the lockup period for tokens allocated to early investors by one year without obtaining consent from all investors. The new unlock start date for these tokens is set for Sept. 22, 2027, with a monthly release of one-24th over the subsequent 24 months. Crypto investor Kirby Ong shared an email purportedly from 0G, suggesting that it may be time for the project to converge to '0.' Louna, operator of the Telegram channel 'Louna's Investment Room,' stated that 0G sought consent only from select venture capitalists and did not consult most retail investors, which could lead to increased complaints from the latter. No official announcement from 0G has been confirmed regarding this decision.
