Ansem: The Gap Between BTC and Gold Market Capitalization Will Continue to Narrow

By: x.com|10/06/2026 00:15:00

Renowned trader Ansem stated that Bitcoin failed to reach a historical high relative to gold in the last cycle. If BTC is recognized as the best digital hard currency, the market capitalization gap between BTC and gold will continue to narrow. Currently, gold's market capitalization is approximately $30 trillion, while Bitcoin's is about $1.7 trillion. As the market capitalization gap shrinks, the rationale for governments to include Bitcoin on their balance sheets will increase, similar to the current holdings of gold. Ansem believes that this cycle does not need to correspond exactly to 2020, 2023, or 2024; rather, it is more akin to the DeFi expansion from 2020 to 2021. At that time, new verticals in the market brought billions of dollars into the on-chain market, and now stablecoins and tokenized stocks are opening new markets, attracting retail investors, institutions, and developers. Ansem believes that emerging verticals will bring new capital flows, new products, and significant speculation, forming the framework for his judgment of this cycle.
