Aviva Investors Launches Tokenized GBP Liquidity Fund Shares on XRP Ledger

Ripple has announced that Aviva Investors, part of the UK insurance group Aviva, has launched a tokenized share class of the Aviva Investors Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. This fund is Aviva Investors' largest fund, with assets under management of approximately £22 billion. This marks the second existing fund to complete tokenization, following the launch of the dollar liquidity fund tokenized shares in July 2026. Currently, the total investment in both tokenized share classes exceeds $116 million (£86 million), with Aviva investing $66 million (£50 million) in the new shares. The fund is a UCITS money market fund registered in Ireland, utilizing a "digital twin" model that maps holdings on-chain while maintaining an off-chain fund structure. The underlying assets are custodied by BNY Mellon, with support from digital asset custodian Komainu and tokenization platform Licuido, and it is open to qualified investors holding digital wallets.
