Binance Clarifies New Token Incident, Former Employee Unauthorized to Generate Tokens

BNB Chain issued a statement on the X platform clarifying that a certain wallet address was created by a former employee, who used it in a video tutorial to generate tokens. This employee has since left the company and retained unauthorized access to the relevant mnemonic phrase, generating a new private key. BNB Chain discovered that the same address was independently used for a new meme token, emphasizing that it did not create, authorize, promote, or participate in the generation of this token, and cannot control the token or wallet address. Both the token and the wallet address are not associated with or recognized by BNB Chain. BNB Chain is taking legal action against the former employee and cooperating with relevant authorities to address this matter.
