CoinEx Exchange to Shut Down After 9 Years, Users Have Until December 22 to Withdraw
The cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx has announced that it will gradually cease its trading services after approximately 9 years of operation. The reasons for this decision include a decrease in trading volume and liquidity, rising regulatory costs, and the complexity of security and compliance requirements. As of September 22, non-spot services, on-chain deposits except for CET, margin trading, lending, Earn, and staking will be halted, and spot trading will also end on September 29. Users have until December 22, 2026, to withdraw their assets, and after this date, the exchange's operations will completely cease. Unwithdrawn USDT will be transferred to an independent custodian. The CET token will also be redeemed by CoinEx at an initial price of 0.005 USDT. Despite the exchange's closure, CoinEx Wallet and CoinEx Vault will continue to operate.
