DigitalX Hosts Seminar with Shinhan Bank on New Phishing Response Strategies

DigitalX held a seminar on the 15th at the Shinhan Bank headquarters in Seoul, in collaboration with Shinhan Bank, to enhance capabilities in responding to new phishing threats. This seminar is the second of its kind following the one in 2023 and was organized to strengthen the financial sector's response capabilities ahead of the implementation of new phishing response measures announced by the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service. The seminar discussed Shinhan Bank's new phishing response system, major phishing types occurring among virtual asset service providers, and collaborative measures for detecting financial fraud and preventing damage. The new phishing response measures were introduced to effectively address investment fraud and financial scams that exploit virtual assets, which are difficult to tackle under existing laws. This seminar is significant as it involved the participation of DigitalX's internal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) organization and the Fraud Detection System (FDS) operation team. DigitalX plans to align its internal processes and systems with the related measures set to take effect on October 1, and to continuously enhance its AML and FDS capabilities.
