Ethereum ETF Funds Experience Outflows for Nine Sessions
Ethereum ETF funds recorded outflows for nine consecutive sessions up to October 7, reaching a total net outflow balance of approximately $635 million. These outflows are nearly 80% larger than those of Bitcoin funds, which saw a net loss of about $386 million. In October, U.S. ETF funds for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana reported total capital outflows close to $1 billion. Rising bond yields and a strengthening dollar are impacting the cryptocurrency market, suggesting that the outflows are a result of broader market conditions. Despite the outflows, Bitcoin ETFs accumulated BTC worth approximately $100 billion, while those based on Ethereum gathered around $14.5 billion. Long positions on Ethereum at Bitfinex reached their highest level since 2022, indicating the complexity of the situation. Matt Cole, CEO of Strive, predicts that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2030, and TD Cowen has raised its Bitcoin price forecast to $109,000. The number of countries holding Bitcoin has increased from 2 in 2016 to 23 in 2025.
