Ethereum Glamsterdam's upgrade has completed the drill on Devnet-11, successfully confirming blocks. This upgrade aims to raise the block gas limit from 60,000,000 to 200,000,000 and introduce block-level access lists, allowing nodes to fetch data and verify unrelated transactions in parallel. The block data propagation time will extend from approximately 2 seconds to 9 seconds to accommodate larger blocks. During testing, the Nethermind execution client processed 570,700,000,000 gas through 2,302 performance tests in 3 minutes and 15 seconds. Developers plan to deploy on the Sepolia testnet on October 6, pending formal confirmation; the 200,000,000 gas limit is currently experimental and has not undergone adversarial stress testing.
