2)ONDO Gains on the Launch of DTC’s Tokenization Service

DTC officially launched its tokenization service (DTS), bringing Ondo, Broadridge, DRW, Fireblocks and others into the ecosystem. DTC participants can convert between traditional and tokenized securities entitlements, with the latter retaining equivalent ownership rights and protections. Tokenized equities are thereby connected to DTC’s clearing-infrastructure framework. Ondo Finance acquired Oasis Pro in 2025 to obtain a securities license, launched more than 100 tokenized equities in September, and enabled around-the-clock minting and redemption in June 2026. It joined the DTC working group in May; in July, CRCLon and SPYon became the first tokenized stocks backed by DTC tokenized entitlements. Ondo’s role is shifting toward clearing standards and compliance interfaces.

3)PEPE Draws Attention as Canary Capital’s ETF Filing Advances

Canary Capital filed an S-1 registration statement for the Canary PEPE ETF on April 8, 2026, and submitted an amendment (S-1/A) on October 2. The fund intends to hold PEPE directly and plans to list on Cboe BZX, with custodians including BitGo. The filing is one attempt to bring meme coins into regulated products. The amendment clarified the trust structure, investment objective and creation-basket size, but the registration statement has not been declared effective and no approval decision has been made. There is no fixed approval deadline; further progress is possible, but the outcome remains uncertain.

On AI and oil prices, Warsh said rates had fallen even as oil continued to rise, and expressed skepticism toward the view that “rate hikes will not affect AI.”
