Kamino CEO: KMNO Team to Unlock Tokens Based on FDV Milestones, Considering Buybacks
Kamino CEO Michael Weisz stated in an open letter that the token distribution for the KMNO team will be unlocked after reaching a fully diluted valuation (FDV) milestone between $1 billion and $10 billion, and this valuation must be maintained continuously. Team members will follow the same unlocking arrangement. Kamino does not have an independent equity distribution and will not issue additional tokens. All on-chain and off-chain revenues and intellectual property will belong to the Kamino Foundation, which will invest at least $20 million in development over the next 24 months. As the scale expands, the foundation may support KMNO through buybacks and burns, although the specific form and timing have yet to be determined.
