The Malaysian Ministry of Digital and the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation have withdrawn their support for the "2026 Malaysia Blockchain Week," which opened on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur. This decision came after promotional materials for an after-party sparked strong backlash due to the invitation of a former OnlyFans creator. The event organizers have apologized to the government, stating that they did not consult the relevant agencies beforehand. As of Wednesday, the event's official website has removed all information regarding the after-party, and the organizers have yet to confirm whether the party will proceed as planned. The content supported by the government has also been removed.
