Michael Burry's Semiconductor Short Position Gains Up to 34.7%

Michael Burry established short positions in Nvidia (NVDA), Applied Materials (AMAT), and the Philadelphia Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) on June 30, and began shorting Micron Technology in early July. As of the market close on July 28, the short position in AMAT had an unrealized gain of approximately 34.7%, SOXX about 23.3%, Micron Technology about 22.0%, and Nvidia about 0.5%. The simple average unrealized gain of his semiconductor short portfolio was approximately 20.1%. Based on the closing prices on July 24, the unrealized gains from the newly added short positions were approximately 10.9% for Micron Technology, 4.8% for Nvidia, and 6.4% for SOXX, with a simple average of about 7.4%.
