Microsoft AI Chief Predicts Full Automation of Professional Tasks in the Next 12 to 18 Months
Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, predicts that within the next 12 to 18 months, AI will reach human-level performance in most professional tasks, with computer-related work tasks expected to achieve full automation. Affected areas include accounting, law, marketing, and project management. Suleyman pointed out that the continuous growth of computing power will enhance the capabilities of models in coding and professional tasks, allowing businesses to customize dedicated AI models based on their needs. However, the current application of AI in professional services such as law, accounting, and auditing is still mainly focused on document review and routine analysis, with actual productivity improvements and job replacement levels remaining relatively limited.
