Ostium Updates Phase Two Recovery Plan, Offering USDC Installment Payments or Equity Conversion Options
Ostium has updated its Phase Two recovery plan, applicable to OLP holders who have incurred losses exceeding 1,000 USDC and have not opted for convenient distribution. The plan is divided into two categories: Category A offers USDC installment payments, with funding sources including a proportional share of funds recovered in Phase One and future recoveries, a designated percentage of Ostium protocol and Gateway revenues (initially set at 50% of Ostium's opening fees), as well as potential incentives or revenue sharing from partners; Category B involves equity in Ostium Labs, allocated during the next round of priced financing, with participating OLP holders collectively receiving a fixed percentage of equity at most. The Phase Two portal will go live on October 30, and the unpaid losses of eligible OLP holders will be included in the Category A recovery contract and can be claimed proportionally. Holders may indicate in advance the percentage of losses they wish to convert to equity, although this intention is non-binding; during the next round of priced financing, holders can confirm the actual conversion amount within the selection window and convert at that round's valuation. If the total applications exceed the cap, allocations will be made proportionally. Ostium states that the specific mechanisms and amounts for each category are still being developed, and this recovery plan is offered voluntarily, with no guarantee of recovering all losses.
