Polymarket Appoints Lisa Mantil as Head of Institutional Growth

The prediction market platform Polymarket has appointed Lisa Mantil as the Head of Institutional Growth to drive the platform's efforts in attracting Wall Street capital and expanding its institutional business. Mantil brings nearly 30 years of experience from Goldman Sachs, where she served as a partner and the global head of the ETF Accelerator, responsible for assisting clients in launching investment products. She will leverage her experience to expand the application of prediction markets in investment and risk management strategies. Polymarket's founder and CEO Shayne Coplan stated that Mantil's experience and relationships in the institutional space will support the company's next phase of expansion. The previous growth of prediction markets was primarily driven by retail participation in sports-related contracts, and platforms are now seeking to increase institutional liquidity. Polymarket's international platform has completed its first large transaction, and brokers working with early institutional participants have indicated that the company is discussing large transactions on the U.S. platform, nearing the capability to do so, but Polymarket has not commented on specific progress.
