Poperyshnyuk Criticizes VAT Return on Packages Up to 150 Euros
Vladimir Poperyshnyuk, the owner of 'Nova Poshta', criticized the government initiative to return VAT on imported packages valued up to 150 euros. He believes that introducing additional taxes during wartime will increase the burden on businesses and consumers, rather than contribute to economic recovery. The Cabinet of Ministers is sending a bill to the Verkhovna Rada regarding the return of taxation on all imported packages up to 150 euros. Poperyshnyuk emphasizes that in wartime, economic policy should focus on reducing tax and regulatory burdens. He argues that lower taxes and fewer regulatory barriers create more opportunities for investment and business recovery. Poperyshnyuk also warns that additional taxation could negatively impact both entrepreneurs and consumers. Previously, he noted that taxing all international packages valued up to 150 euros would adversely affect the economy and the quality of life for Ukrainians.
