Revolut has confirmed the exposure of confidential data of a limited number of customers following fraudulent requests sent from a legitimate government domain. Researcher ZachXBT discovered that the attackers gained access to documents, bank statements, and Bitcoin transaction histories. The attack may have targeted wealthy clients, several of whom have already received official notifications from the company. Among the potentially compromised data are full names, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, copies of documents, bank statements, and transaction histories. Revolut clarified that biometric data was not compromised. A company representative confirmed that the incident affected a limited number of customers but did not disclose the exact number of affected individuals. After detecting the fraud, the company blocked the relevant email address and notified the government agency and law enforcement. Revolut's systems and customer funds were not compromised.
