Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that the company aims to attract users through trading products such as stocks, cryptocurrencies, and prediction markets, gradually transitioning into long-term services like retirement accounts, investment advisory, banking, and wealth management. Tenev noted that active traders are the foundation of Robinhood's business, as trading products help the company acquire customers, while services like retirement accounts are more crucial for long-term growth. As of the end of the second quarter this year, the number of funded accounts at Robinhood grew by 7% year-on-year to 28 million, with average revenue per user increasing by 24% year-on-year. Tenev also mentioned that over the next few decades, there will be a transfer of more than $100 trillion in intergenerational wealth globally, and Robinhood hopes to provide services such as trusts, estate planning, private wealth management, and private banking as users' wealth grows.
