Singapore's S$3 Billion Money Laundering Case: Auction of 624 Luxury Items and Jewelry Begins

A total of 624 luxury handbags and pieces of jewelry seized in Singapore have been put up for online auction. The auction will start on September 7, 2026, with the first two sales consisting of 338 luxury bags and accessories and 286 pieces of jewelry. The combined pre-sale estimate for the two auctions is set between S$2.9 million and S$3.9 million. The first auction will close on September 20, and the second auction will close on September 27. A total of 15 auctions are scheduled to take place by May 2027. The items for sale include products from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Christian Dior, as well as jewelry from Graff, Bulgari, and Van Cleef & Arpels. This sale is part of the process to dispose of assets seized during an investigation conducted in August 2023, which led to the arrest of 10 individuals and the seizure of assets worth S$3 billion. The Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs stated that as of December 2024, approximately S$2.79 billion of the assets related to the case have been allocated to the state. Links to virtual assets have also been identified, with defendant Su Baolin receiving Tether (USDT) as payment for illegal gambling activities abroad.
