Tusk: Russia Uses Cryptocurrencies to Fund Terrorism in Poland

By: bithub.pl|2026/09/02 13:00:00

Donald Tusk has called for support for the cryptocurrency legislation, claiming that Russia is using cryptocurrencies to finance acts of terror in Poland. During the first parliamentary session after the summer break, Tusk emphasized that a veto of the law benefits Russia, which can finance attackers through cryptocurrencies. The Prime Minister pointed out that recent acts of sabotage could have been funded by Russia, and the adoption of the law could prevent this. Tusk cited intelligence agencies' opinions, which deemed the legislation essential for the country's security. The Sejm will consider the law for the fourth time; however, Karol Nawrocki, who has previously vetoed the project, may block its adoption again. Adam Andruszkiewicz, Secretary of State in the President's Chancellery, announced that Nawrocki would not sign the law in its current form, considering it a tool for political struggle. Further disputes regarding the zondacrypto scandal are expected on Friday.
