Vitalik Proposes Recursive STARK Memory Pool to Reduce Quantum-Safe Signature Costs
Vitalik posted on the X platform, proposing to include the recursive STARK memory pool proposal EIP-8288 in the Ethereum I-star upgrade, calling it the next step after Frames. This solution allows quantum-safe signature data to be placed off-chain, reducing signature costs; the fuel cost for quantum-safe privacy transactions is expected to drop from around 10,000,000 to tens of thousands. The proposal relies on frames and recursive STARK aggregated transactions, with nodes sending approximately 100 to 300KB of STARK per time period, and the on-chain overhead being one STARK and 96 bytes for each statement to be proved.
