De acordo com notícias do mercado, o emissor da stablecoin de iene japonês JPYC completou a primeira fase de seu financiamento da série B, levantando aproximadamente 1,78 bilhão de ienes (cerca de 12 milhões de USD), liderado pelo provedor japonês de soluções de TI Asteria. A maior parte do financiamento vem de empresas e instituições de investimento japonesas, com a participação da BitFlyer Holdings também.
O JPYC foi lançado em outubro de 2025 sob a estrutura regulatória do Japão para negócios de transferência de fundos e atualmente é a única stablecoin de iene em operação no país. Ele fez parceria com a Densan Systems, que fornece infraestrutura de pagamento para cerca de 65.000 lojas de conveniência no Japão, para explorar pagamentos domésticos, remessas internacionais e aplicações de pagamento em cenários de lojas de conveniência, e está envolvido no sistema de cotação de câmbio de stablecoin da Circle, o StableFX, para liquidações internacionais.
