Bloomberg analyst identifies boom-bust pattern in BTC and commodities

Mike McGlone, a macro strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, noted that Bitcoin and commodity markets are increasingly exhibiting a pattern of sharp price rallies followed by significant declines. In a post on X, he highlighted that silver surged approximately 60% in the first quarter but then dropped about 30% from the year's start as of November 3. This return to levels last seen in 1980 may indicate a broader commodity boom-bust cycle. McGlone also pointed out that while West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices exceeded 100 dollars per barrel in late October, prices for U.S. natural gas, copper, grains, and Bitcoin have declined, suggesting that this sharp rise-then-drop pattern is becoming more prevalent. He previously indicated that Bitcoin could fall to 10000 dollars if the U.S. stock market experiences a 20% correction.
