Coinbase: Cryptocurrency Scam Losses in Singapore Decrease by 43%
Coinbase reported that, according to the Singapore Police Force's Anti-Scam Centre's "2026 Mid-Year Scam and Cybercrime Briefing," cryptocurrency scam losses in Singapore have decreased by 43% year-on-year, from approximately $89.6 million to about $51.1 million. The ASC attributes part of this decline to the efforts of partners like Coinbase. Coinbase's Global Intelligence team has conducted four joint operations with the ASC, helping to identify over 720 potential scam victims and preventing more than $14.7 million in potential losses. Additionally, Coinbase launched a new anti-scam campaign in Singapore in the second half of this year, reaching all retail account users in Singapore through emails, push notifications, and in-app alerts.
