Guangdong Builds Blockchain Network and Cross-Border Data Space

The Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Government Services and Data Management has released the "Work Plan for Building a Data Special Zone in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," which aims to construct specific infrastructure to promote cross-border computing power interconnectivity such as "Hong Kong Data Computing" and "Macao Data Computing." The plan includes the establishment of a provincial blockchain network and a cross-border trusted data space, exploring the concept of "space as a service." Additionally, it aims to create nine types of data service scenarios covering applications such as "data processing," cross-border medical treatment, intelligent connected vehicles, transparent cross-border e-commerce, digital renminbi, and social security services under the "Bay Area Pass."
