Hong Kong's GDP Rises 4.3% in Q2 2026

The Census and Statistics Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has released the advance estimate of the local Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the second quarter of 2026, indicating a real increase of 4.3% compared to the same period last year, following a rise of 5.9% in the first quarter. A government spokesperson stated that supported by external trade and domestic demand, Hong Kong's economy continued to expand robustly in the second quarter of 2026, with steady growth expected in the second half of the year.
