KakaoBank Shares Digital Banking Innovation Cases with UAE
KakaoBank explained its digital finance innovations to officials from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Prime Minister's Office and participants of the Nafis Leadership Program on July 21, 2026. They visited KakaoBank's office in Pangyo, Seongnam, to observe the bank's non-face-to-face financial services and customer-centric design approach. KakaoBank provided insights into service improvement methods for digital banks, user experience (UX), and the planning and development processes for technology-based services, while answering participants' questions. The Nafis Leadership Program is an initiative designed for UAE private sector talents to experience outstanding overseas cases, operated by the UAE Prime Minister's Office, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC), and the National University of Singapore. Amid the trend of Middle Eastern countries fostering digital industries and financial innovations, interest in Korea's mobile financial model is growing. KakaoBank's accumulated experience in digital finance operations is attracting the attention of foreign institutions, and the bank is striving to promote the technological capabilities of Korean finance in the global market.
