Meta Launches AI Tools for Business Sales
Meta Corporation is launching a new direction for selling artificial intelligence tools to corporate clients. CEO Mark Zuckerberg aims to open new revenue streams and recoup investments in technology. A new division, Meta Enterprise Platform, has been created to combine the personal assistant Muse, coding tools, and access to the company's AI models. The new division will be led by Chirantan Desai, CEO of MongoDB, who will report to Zuckerberg. Following his transition, MongoDB's shares fell nearly 20%, while Meta's shares decreased by 4%. The main goal of the new division is to turn AI costs into profits, reducing reliance on the advertising business. This year, Meta's capital expenditures could reach $145 billion, most of which is allocated to data center infrastructure and model development. Zuckerberg noted that the new platform will become a key pillar of Meta's business. Desai added that the platform will transform Meta's developments into ready-made products for companies. The use of data centers for corporate clients is also being considered, which will allow competition with Amazon and Microsoft. In recent weeks, Meta's shares have risen due to the success of the AI assistant Muse, which has become the most downloaded app in the U.S. since its launch in early September.
