Miden Launches Testnet v0.16 with Network Fees
The privacy blockchain Miden has launched Testnet v0.16, the last major testnet version before the mainnet launch. This update introduces network fees for the first time on the testnet, with typical transaction costs around $0.01; after the mainnet goes live, fees will be priced in USDCx. v0.16 also adds encrypted submission for private transaction inputs, optimizes the multi-signature process, reduces the Web SDK production package size from 27.4 MB to 18.8 MB, and improves the native token exchange functionality, allowing users to set minimum acceptance amounts and minimum transaction volumes to prevent dust-level partial transactions. Agglayer and Epoch integration is ready and can be tested on the testnet.
