OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar stated that the company is accelerating the expansion of AI into areas such as chip design, life sciences, and financial services, and is attempting to price based on business outcomes rather than usage. OpenAI's enterprise revenue grew by 32% from June to July this year, while overall annualized revenue increased by approximately 20% during the same period; by mid-year, enterprise and consumer business revenues each accounted for half of the total. Recently, OpenAI reduced the price of its low-cost Luna model by 80%, resulting in a roughly tenfold increase in usage. In cloud deployment scenarios, Luna's costs are lower than Z.ai's GLM 5.3. The number of users for OpenAI's programming tool Codex has reached 25 million, and the company has also utilized its own AI models to assist in the development of the Jalapeno chip, completing the chip design tape-out in nine months.
