Safe Q2 Report: 130 Million Transactions, 54.8 Million SAFE Staked
The Safe Ecosystem Foundation has released its Q2 2026 report, revealing that Safe smart accounts processed nearly 130 million transactions, marking a new high for the second consecutive quarter. In June, the number of active accounts reached 2.73 million, with the total number of accounts surpassing 63 million, a year-on-year increase of 20%. April was the busiest month in Safe's history, processing 55.4 million transactions. The report indicates that Safe launched Safenet Beta on April 2 at the EthCC Cannes conference, with six genesis validators operating. By the end of the quarter, a total of 54.8 million SAFE tokens were staked across 539 staking addresses, with a cumulative total of 455,646 transaction checks completed, of which Ethereum and Arbitrum accounted for approximately 94% of the check volume. SafeDAO provided 5 million SAFE in funding support for Safenet Beta through the SEP-55 proposal. Additionally, following the Kelp DAO exploitation incident in April, the Aave-led DeFi United alliance coordinated approximately $300 million in funds through over 142,000 wallets to assist in restoring collateral support for rsETH. The foundation's treasury investment portfolio achieved an annualized return of 5.5% to 5.75%, outperforming the benchmark by about 250 basis points. As of June 30, approximately $14 million had been deployed, with 14 active positions, and the foundation opened its first positions in RWA and fixed income categories.
