Six Malaysian men were sentenced for robbing approximately 3900000 dollars in assets, including cryptocurrency, during a poker game raid at a luxury home in Singapore. The group broke into the residence in April 2024 armed with bladed weapons and baseball bats, tied up 11 victims, searched their mobile phones for crypto applications, and transferred assets from one victim's account. After fleeing to Malaysia, they cashed out part of the stolen cryptocurrency and divided the proceeds. The court imposed prison sentences ranging from 7 years and 8 months to 12 years and 11 months, and ordered 24 strokes of the cane for defendants under 50. One accomplice remains at large.
