Ukrnafta Plans to Open Five New Wells

Ukrnafta plans to open five new wells at a field where the potential of the area has been confirmed through 3D seismic studies. The location, depth, and trajectory of the future wells have been specified. The first drilled well confirmed the geological forecast for productivity, with an initial flow rate of 132 tons of oil per day. The results of the seismic exploration allow for adjustments in the placement of the wells and increase the likelihood of successful drilling. Ukrnafta employs modern geophysics to discover new areas in depleted fields. In 2024-2025, the company will conduct 3D seismic surveys over an area of more than 1,210 km² across nine fields and two areas, which accounts for about 20% of all special permits. This helps to better understand the geological structure and plan new drilling more accurately. Ukrnafta has also implemented the WellWorkover Supervisor software to monitor the capital repairs of wells, automating calculations and generating reports.
