Os detentores de tokens do Uniswap começarão a votar em uma proposta significativa nesta quinta-feira para ativar a mudança de taxa do protocolo para duas versões do protocolo em oito blockchains de Camada 2, incluindo Base, Arbitrum e OP Mainnet. Uma vez ativada, pelo menos um sexto das taxas cobradas dos provedores de liquidez nas blockchains relevantes será transferido para o pool de tokens para investidores que queimarem uma quantidade equivalente de tokens UNI, o que deve mais do que dobrar os rendimentos existentes.
A mudança de taxa está ativa na mainnet v2 do Ethereum e em alguns pools de liquidez v3 desde dezembro do ano passado, gerando um total de US$ 3,3 milhões em receita até o momento. Desde 2026, a Base superou o Ethereum e se tornou a maior fonte de taxas para o Uniswap, gerando US$ 55 milhões em taxas.
Impulsionada pela notícia da proposta, a UNI subiu 9% nos últimos sete dias, superando o Bitcoin e o Ethereum em declínio durante o mesmo período. A votação final será concluída em 4 de março.
