New Information! Where is the CEO of zondacrypto, Przemysław Kral, hiding?

By: rootdata|2026/07/31 19:31:00

The former CEO of zondacrypto remains the most recognizable face of one of the largest scandals in the history of the Polish cryptocurrency market. According to investigators' estimates, as many as 30,000 people may have been affected, with total losses estimated at least 350 million PLN.

Despite the enormous scale of the proceedings, the former exchange CEO has not yet faced charges, does not have the status of a suspect, and is not formally wanted. However, this does not mean that the investigation has stalled. On the contrary, several new threads have emerged in recent weeks that could prove pivotal for the entire case.

The most surprising of these concerns the possibility of Kral cooperating with the Polish prosecutor's office.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice is conducting a multi-threaded investigation regarding suspicions of significant value fraud and money laundering. According to information provided by investigators, over 3,600 reports from victims have already been registered.

Investigators have also secured hundreds of electronic devices and over 250 terabytes of data, which are currently being analyzed. At the same time, the proceedings have been extended until January 17, 2027. However, for many observers, the most surprising fact remains that Przemysław Kral is still not listed as a wanted person.

No charges have been presented against him, nor has a European Arrest Warrant or wanted notice been issued. However, this does not mean that the prosecutor's office considers him innocent. The reason is much more mundane.

To issue a European Arrest Warrant or apply other coercive measures against a specific person, law enforcement must have evidence that sufficiently justifies the suspicion of a crime.

In practice, this means the necessity to establish, among other things:

  • what decisions the former CEO made,
  • what his actual influence on the functioning of the exchange was,
  • what he knew about the company's financial situation,
  • where clients' funds were going,
  • and whether he acted with the intent to defraud investors or participated in money laundering activities.

Only the gathering of such material allows for moving on to the next stages of the proceedings.

According to media reports, Kral has been avoiding trips to Poland for some time due to fears of arrest. After a period of stay in Monaco in the spring of 2026, he was said to have moved to Israel, most likely to Caesarea located by the Mediterranean Sea.

The fact that he holds Israeli citizenship, which he had reportedly sought earlier, is also significant. From the perspective of international law, this could significantly complicate any potential extradition. Israel generally does not extradite its own citizens to other countries, although existing regulations provide for certain exceptions to this rule.

This does not mean that bringing Kral before the Polish judiciary is completely impossible, but the procedure would be much more complicated than if he were in most EU countries.

According to information published by investigative journalist Szymon Jadczak from Wirtualna Polska, unconfirmed signals have emerged suggesting the possibility of the former CEO of zondacrypto being arrested in Botswana. To date, no state institution has confirmed this information.

At the beginning of July, another interesting lead emerged. Dominik Konopacki, an investigative analyst from the company Recoveris, pointed out that Przemysław Kral's profile on the X platform indicated South Africa as the location in the "About this account" section.

A few weeks later, the metadata changed and now indicates Israel. At first glance, this could look like a significant clue regarding the whereabouts of the former CEO of zondacrypto. The problem, however, is that the X platform itself states that the presented location may be inaccurate and result from the use of a proxy server or VPN.

However, the most surprising information has emerged in recent days. According to findings by "Rzeczpospolita," Przemysław Kral had been in talks with representatives of the Polish prosecutor's office and provided initial explanations. The meeting was said to have taken place in one of the Gulf states with the participation of a representative of the National Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor mentioned by the media denied participating in the described meeting, so the course of the discussions remains unconfirmed. According to two sources cited by "Rzeczpospolita," the former CEO had provided initial information to investigators. However, this did not lead to a breakthrough.

Reports indicate that Kral presented himself as someone independently managing the operations of zondacrypto and did not indicate any individuals who might have been above him or organized the exchange's activities.

The mere fact of having discussions with the prosecutor's office does not yet mean that the former CEO can count on the status of a crown witness. Polish regulations provide for very strict conditions.

Such status can only be granted to a suspect who decides to disclose information allowing for the detection of other perpetrators, describe the mechanism of the criminal group's operation, and reveal his own assets and those known to him among other participants in the crime. The final decision is always made by the court at the request of the prosecutor.
