According to Jinshi reports, Federal Reserve Governor Waller stated that he does not believe the Iran war will have a lasting impact on inflation. Although consumers may experience a "price shock" due to rising gasoline prices, policymakers will look through any one-time price increases. He pointed out that core indicators are better at predicting future inflation, so he is not focused on energy prices. The Federal Reserve is expected to keep interest rates unchanged for the second consecutive time at the meeting on March 17-18.
